    If I could afford it.

I've had a lot of behind the wheel time in late model Land Rovers and Range Rovers, including the very nice Land Rover Experience at the Biltmore Estate.

So, I thought I'd post up a little thread about the MINI Cooper's off-road family.

I can honestly say that if I were to be going 100 miles from anywhere, I'd prefer to do it in a land Rover, with my close second choice being a Jeep.

I have a two car garage, and I could see it with a MINI and an LR4 in it.

Oh, here are a few shots of my own experiences with a couple of LR3s foolishly left in my hands. The first is actually a trip through the mud at the LR Experience, and the second was totally unsanctioned by Land Rover -- a day in the life of a press vehicle. That was in no way faked. We actually drove the LR3 onto that rock.

Oh, I have my own over-priced hole-in-the-head, guaranteed-to-break-the-bank British vehicle dream:

I've driven dozens of Astons, and they are wonderful grand tourers, but only one model ever impressed me from a performance perspective. It was a V12 Vantage. Holy carp that thing was fast.
