If I could afford it. I've had a lot of behind the wheel time in late model Land Rovers and Range Rovers, including the very nice Land Rover Experience at the Biltmore Estate. So, I thought I'd post up a little thread about the MINI Cooper's off-road family. I can honestly say that if I were to be going 100 miles from anywhere, I'd prefer to do it in a land Rover, with my close second choice being a Jeep. I have a two car garage, and I could see it with a MINI and an LR4 in it. Oh, here are a few shots of my own experiences with a couple of LR3s foolishly left in my hands. The first is actually a trip through the mud at the LR Experience, and the second was totally unsanctioned by Land Rover -- a day in the life of a press vehicle. That was in no way faked. We actually drove the LR3 onto that rock. CD
I've driven dozens of Astons, and they are wonderful grand tourers, but only one model ever impressed me from a performance perspective. It was a V12 Vantage. Holy carp that thing was fast. CD
