I didn't bother and it appears many of the original fans didn't care to tune in either. Those who watched it were not impressed http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/05/30/top-gears-first-episode-branded-boring-and-badly-presented-by-fa/
I watched parts or it and it was very boring as they were trying too hard. One kind of funny part at the very beginning was Chris Evans said "We have a new caterer but we will not be talking about catering on this show." (Slight dig at Clarkson)
When they said Chris Evans, I thought Captain America. Instead they had some Adam Savage looking guy. Couldn't they have got the real Adam Savage?
About half what it was. Sabina should stick to driving. She is funny in the car, but the rest was lame.
Yea.......lots of forced dialogue and way to much reliance on the teleprompter. Trying to hard to find their way. Hopefully it gets better.
Just finished watching it and was not impressed. I've said it before, they aren't going to be able to out buffoon the three amigos. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Chris Evans said it was going to be a different show...Yet there he is, from the opening clip trying to emulate Clarkson. Only not nearly as knowledgeable or funny."As polished as a rusty crowbar." Or "it sounds like a seagull at the beach." If that's all you got, don't bother. He's also got the worst studio laugh--the laugh when you force a laugh at something that's supposed to be funny but isn't--ever. They never had to resort to that on the old show... Leblanc is no better. I gagged a little every time he called Chris Evans "bro'". It was like watching that horrid Rob Lowe direct TV commercial. Over. And over. And over. He managed to be less funny than Evans. No small feat... The funniest person by far was one of the guests--not Gordon Ramsey, the other guy I'd never heard of before. In all honesty it looks like a poorly done parody of Top Gear. "The Grand Tour" cannot get here soon enough...
Clarkson was the messiah. He was so right about Peugot. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2if9gy Can't beat that humor. I boycotted the new stuff...
At the end of the day, Clarkson is an automotive journalist who happens to be a comedian. Evans is a radio talk show host who happens to be neither. And Leblanc? Neegan minus the bat.
I just tried to watch some of the show .... Kudos to those who made through the whole showing because it is not very good.
Yeah.....was kinda forced...could see much of it coming .... Not very spontaneous....forced at best.... Maybe the hosts will get better interacting with each other with time spent together .... But I got busy doing other stuff while I let it play... Was like a bad copy of the old show....so much for a "re-boot".
I'm still giving it a try. Most new shows don't get good until the second season, so judging it by one episode is premature. Ever watch the first few episodes of Clarkson et alls run? They were also pretty bad at the time.
Zapski please send me a PM when the show becomes good. I think that will never happen. Using the same format with different players has sunk the good ship Top Gear.
