Back (way back) in the 50's and 60's I was heavy into archery: indoor target, outdoor target and hunting. Around the time I stopped hunting game I lost interest in it and turned my attention to other things. The recent Olympics has re-sparked my interest and I've been thinking about getting back into it again. However, the price of admission has me questioning myself. I have a rule of '10' when it comes to prices today compared to what they were back in the 50's-60's era. What ever something cost back then is now 10 times more expensive today. A dozen arrows today costs more than I paid for a custom made recurve bow back then. I'm leaning towards forgetting about it.
I also used to be into archery, I still have a few recurve bows and a shitload of arrows. I used to make my own arrows, but I did that with a friend who had all the stuff to make them. I haven't been bow hunting though.
