While the MINI is in the body shop the insurance company covers the rental. I'm in and Altima.

A 10 minute drive made me think of Don "No Soul" Simmons

I think it is kinda ironic....

The Altima still using a CVT transmission?

Take some consolation from the fact that I'm driving a Fiat 500 rental from Budget until my Roadster S arrives. Beep, beep!

Like the Camry, it's a transportation module.

I rented one a few years ago (with CVT) and while it could never be said to be fun, it worked perfectly well, and since I was only using it to get me where I was going (VIR that day - from Charlotte) it sufficed, and got surprisingly good fuel mileage.

But fun........or even interesting..........it was not.

I get Nissans with CVT's regularly as rental cars when traveling for work. I hate the no shift feel....it feels like I'm driving a snowmobile. I don't consider Altimas and Camrys as automobiles, they are more like appliances.

I kinda like the sporty Altima body lines, but the cvt takes all of it away. :(

They even sound good, just no heart beat, Nathan your insurance folks have not heart, time to switch companies that will let you rent what you like to drive, perhaps a Lambo. :) :)

Lamborghini's are too flashy for me. Rather a 911 GT3.

Not at all like our 2002, 3.5, v6, Altima, 217,000. miles and the trans clutch's gave up just last week.

The CVT is known problem in about every car that ever used them.
