Took my own suggestion as it looks like several of us have Jeeps in addition to our Mini/MINI.

    Yes I do! (Whoodathunkit)

I also still wave at other Jeeps.

Its a 2010 JKU, with 2.5" coil lift, 35X12.50 Red letter Grabbers, and more light than the sun above the windshield.

I had a JEEP GC. I could it would go places I wouldn't take it. If I lived out west I would have one again.

We have a TJ. Love that thing. Replaced the sway bar bushings for next to nothing in the driveway. Replaced the battery cables without banging a knuckle. It's marvelous to have a car in the fleet can be worked on without banging a knuckle and can be parked without caring about door dings. I love it almost as much as the MINIs. :)

Plus, he's super fun in the snow!

I miss my Jeep every day. I had a 2000 4cyl TJ. I added coil spacers, Mickey Thompson MTZs, Flowmaster 40 series and some other stuff. It was so easy to work on, as long as I had the PB Blaster handy, it spent most of its life in Ohio and had lots of rust.

I have two GCs, both street machines. When I sold Jeeps for a year as a 'hobby job', I was the top Wrangler salesman for the year, put out a bunch of extreme Rubicon units.

Love them, but I don't own one. I did own an 88 Wrangler at one time.

While living on the Big Island of Hawaii for 6 years (early 90's) I bought a 1980 CJ 5, a real rust bucket. The drives we went on to get to the beach, so much FUN and the memories .....priceless!

Like matt, I also miss my rusty 2002 TJ, kept outdoors in NE PA for 11 long winters. We had to ease into a Jeep Compass Latitude (for a comfort-trip to the Keys with our dogs!)
But I intend to return to Wrangler ASAP. I have been a Jeep-man since the 80's, while I started MINI recently (2010)

Glad I wasn't the only one at the Dragon with a Jeep this year! However I only found one trail to play on, and it really wasn't much.
However it still gets me when people buy a Jeep, and it NEVER sees dirt! Most of these people even spring the extra cash for a RUBICON (factory built true off road model) just to have the name on the hood... :(
I prefer to go out of my way to have fun with my lightly moded SPORT and if you look close you can tell it gets used. :)

Didn’t bring the Jeep as I’d go broke getting there at 12 MPG.
Sure wouldn’t mind finding a decent club in that area that was having a ride the weekend before MOTD one year and seeing if I could find an open passenger seat.

I saw lots of trails, but ALL of them had been gated with big ROAD CLOSED signs! (Including the opposite end of the one that I did find...)
From Denver, it was only about $350 each way in gas, which really isn't too bad for a lifted Jeep. :)

    $700 – :eek6:
I ball parked my fuel bill for the Jeep would have been close at ~$625
That’s way too much for no trailriding.

To me it was $700 well spent. Had a couple topless days, (the Jeep not me) it served as a hotel room for a few nights, I got to play "Will it fit" in the hotel parking garage in Nashville, plus even with all my stuff I still had 4 open seats. Hopefully next year I will be driving the RAT-MINI down though. :)

    Understood!
I scoped out a couple of the Jeeps there during MOTD and even wore a couple of Jeep-themed T-shirts during the week.

Here are a couple of pictures from last month’s Jeep Club Meeting.

Just a bit different than a MINI gathering :)

That is so cool. Wish we had that big of a club here. Hopefully I can attend Jeep Beach in a few years!

Wow! Nice g2g! It's funny how different it is from the MINI. I sit on it, toss things on it, we park as close to the store as we can with it. (And never a door ding, of course. Do that with the MINI and it'll cost $500 to repair it.) Love it as much as I love the MINI but for very different reasons. And Jeep people wave here, unlike MINI folks.

Just replaced one of the front ball joints this weekend, along with new pads and rotors. All I have to say about that is that my PT guy will either yell at me or thank me for padding his wallet, since my shoulder is a wreck again.

Someday, I'll make it to Moab. Someday. ;)

Although I never got heavily into off-trail Jeeping, I can still remember countless trips to the Outer Banks, NC (Ocracoke Island) and tooling around the beaches and sand trails....before they added a park fee recent years
