This one's for you Chuck... [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ie6J77X0prE"]Mad for MG - /DRIVEN - YouTube[/ame]
Oups.... Double post.... Sorry Steve, just saw you posted this yesterday.... Go ahead and remove this.... (after I listen to the exhaust again).... OK, I'm done now....
Why can't exhaust systems sound like this now. It's not too quite, it's not too loud and has just the right tone.
That exhaust does sound like that "now". It's a newly designed exhaust, on a new engine. There's really nothing "classic MG" about that exhaust... Except that we say things like "that's how we remember MG rally cars sounding, sort of"
Funny that this should surface today. Being the risk-taker that I am, I took my chances on whether I'd make it to work. Yes, I made it. I'd say it's 50/50 whether it gets me home.
Nice B Eric. As long as you no longer have that leaky Solex dripping gas on the cat converter you should be fine. If you still do, wear your nomex.
Cat converter? That's long since fallen off, along with most other safety, emissions and comfort features.
Good for you. Are you running a pair of SU's as God & Abington intended or a nice pair of DCOE's? I've seen more than a few of those later emission MGB's burned to a crisp.
