I don't know what I'd do without a truck. I needed something I could haul dirt, gravel, firewood, building materials and stuff for our landscaping project. So I got a '97 Ford F350 diesel 4x4 pick up, Cheap. It gets 11 miles/gallon in the city, but gets 20 miles/gallon on the highway and weighs 6000 lbs with me and the dog in it, more than twice what the MINI weighs. The MINI's roof doesn't even come up to the door handle on it. It's really different switching from one to the other. I've only put 10K on the odometer in 4 years but when I need it I really need it. I love my Diesel F250, even if I spend an inordinate amount of time under it or in the engine bay (injectors, fuel pump, fuel leaks). But it's a great MINI hauler and I love that I can throw t-posts, gravel, hay, and whatnot in it without worrying about scratching the bed. Excellent addition, and looks like you're already putting it to good use :lol: Whatcha' building?
must be in the air we just recently added a shop truck as well-I usually prefer my MINI but when you gotta haul something, nothing beats a truck! Tried to buy a "little" one, like the op, fo rmonths-200k toyota/nissan/s10/ranger were all way more than this full size big block brute. I only drive it a few miles a month, so it was worth paying about half what the little ones were selling for, from someone who couldn't take the price of gas any longer. Holds 35 gallons, I many only fill it once a year:biggrin5:
