I'm about to order a Roadster from my dealer's last allocation. One question that occurred to me is about the advisability of ordering the chrome line interior. I like the look and specced it on both of my Clubmans, but am wondering if it might be a bad idea for an open-top car because of glare and reflections from the sun. So I'm seeking opinions from those of you who already have Roadsters or Convertibles: Yea or nay?

If you don't like it you can alway paint it. But it's much more difficult to got the other way.

I don't have it (have gone the CF route)...but I have Roadster friends who like the chrome and have no issues with added glare. If you like it, go for it. The Roadster is a great platform for showing off a classy interior.

Don't let that allocation slip away...they are becoming precious.

I wouldn't worry about it. Besides, you're in a roadster, so wear shades!

Either get the chrome, or have somebody paint them in your color of choice. Personally, I like the chrome, but when done right, paint can look just as good.

Whatever you like is all that matters, it's YOUR car forget everyone else.

If you like it, go for it. It's not as if this is the last car you'll ever own, or is it? (If you're 'older than dirt' it might be)

I like the way the chrome looks in my Clubman, and as someone pointed out above, it's much easier to undo the chrome than it is to add it later. And so, since nobody has reported having any issues with it (and since I wanted it anyway), the order has been placed - with the chrome line interior. Thanks to everyone for chipping in!

Congrats on your order CharlieVictor! My CR R59 S just completed production today and is going through final inspection. Hoping it gets to Southhampton soon for its cruise to Baltimore!
