    Hi,

My cooper S has 100k and been a rock! Today the radio is making a popping sound and shutting off and back on.

The Sat radio says no channel 000. everything else works but the sat radio.

Any thoughts? Its not the service, I went through all of that.

Most of the ones I have seen that make the big POP noise end up needing a new radio
    Assuming its an R56.

Not sure if that is the case with yours ....

Thanks for the quick reply. It pops when it shuts off, but it does come right back on. Everything works but SAT.

Seems as though something is loose.

Actually, this "popping" sounds like a blown speaker to me.

    BTW, welcome to M/A!

Yup, I'd agree with that if the radio didn't shut off when it happened. Im going to check to see if its a loose fuse. but that wouldn't answer as to why the Sat radio isn't pulling channels.

Mine started popping and crackling had to replace amp, H/K amps are not cheap, assuming yours is H/K.
