Thanks I appreciate that and I'm thinking 200horse power and probably 190 or 180 torque. I'm really just trying to find a simple and cheap way. Most likely under 1 grand

Get an RMW Tune for 500 bucks and you're all set for horsepower. I suggest though that you look at handling before horsepower.

    Welcome! Enjoy the ride!

I've been looking into doing the same kind of thing with my 08. So far (and I'm certainly no expert) the simplest and least expensive options seem to be cool air intakes and the like. They might not get you to 200hp, but they generally add around 10~15 from what I've read.

I'm certain one of the experts will chime in shortly and set me straight. ;)

Reprogramming the ECU. You would need to find out where and when Jan of RMW is doing tunes and get on the list.

Do you have a Copper S?

This is one I've been thinking about.

KN 69-2004TTK MINI Cooper S Intake System

Though there are many other options available. So far I haven't done much with mine beyond removing the rear seats and adding a splitter. But I have plans... such plans.... ;)

    Now to get more money.

    *sigh*
