Well, I will start off by saying this is my second R53, both were Chilli Red, I have big plans for this one. My end goal is AT LEAST 300whp, I've extensively researched what I need to do to get there, and slowly but surely I will make that goal. Power is not all I'm interested in, I plan to do suspension and brakes as well. I'm open to any opinions but just be aware that's all it is. I build my car for ME and my likes. I don't judge and neither should anyone else

    Welcome aboard!

Nice looking MINI you have there. It's the right color combination.

Good luck with the goal of 300 hp at the wheels. It'll be a beast.

Thank you, I plan to color watch the body with the roof, I'm not really a fan of red, and I want to look a little different, I don't see many white Mini's motoring around

    Welcome to M/A. Nice MINI.

Just my .02 cents, but if you want a White MINI, buy one. They're out there  Would be shame to lose that colour combo.

As I said, just my .02 cents.

Keep us posted of your power mods, with pics please.

Welcome Aboard! Changing a paint color is a pain and not cheap to do it right. I would put the money toward speed and handling.

But it's your car do what makes you happy. We have a company in Columbus that will plastidip the entire car. If you don't like the color after a while just peel it off.

A true white R53 will look great! What is the white called that they use on the roof?

Yeah you will not get 265 HP with that kit from Madness. :nonod: for almost 8 Grand :nonod:

Also that kit does not include any labor.

Please look around a lot and see what others have done to get real power results. Feel free to ask ask many questions you want and we will all try to help you out with our real results from our mods. Check out our Garages under our user I'd and you will see the trend of where real reliable power comes from.

For that 8K you could do more and pick and choose the best from different vendors instead or "getting in bed" with just one for everything.

For a nice bump in HP a pulley is the best bang for the buck. A 15% pulley is a safe reliable daily driver upgrade. Next you can add a DDM Intake for a tiny boost but a nice Supercharger sound upgrade.

All Big Valve Heads are not the same. Just like all cars and motors are not they same. If anyone tells you they are run away, quickly.

A real HP upgrade will come from a BVH (RMW Big Valve Head) lager injectors,(450 cc or 550cc) larger CAM and the most important a reliable custom tune to tie everything together.

You can add a header & exhaust later as your budget allows. I choose an RMW header with a Milltek exhaust.

You do not need to upgrade from the OEM Coil or Wires as they are good up to 300 HP and beyond. You will need to get one step cooler NGK plugs but they only cost $26 or $28 bucks on Amazon.

Stickers and badges do not add power or resale value in any way and you will never get the money back on your investment on resale.

FYI - I also sent you a PM
