Hey all, I just purchased my first Mini, a 2009 Mini Cooper John Cooper Works with Recaro Seats! Literally is my dream car, and I've been searching for a nice used JCW for a few years now (no one seems to ever sell their JCWs to a Dealer). However, this one popped up the same day I bought it, and I feel I ended up getting a great deal on it from the dealer. Pictures below!
So, my Mini is just under 3 days old (for me), and where it is parked in those photos, there is currently a giant tree laying in the street, landing directly where my car USED to be parked. About 3 hours before that happened (right as I took those photos), a friend recommended I move my car to the driveway as it would be safer from kids, etc. I thought it was a great idea, and decided take his advice. I went for a ride, and while I was out, my roommate sends me a picture about 30 minutes after I leave with my car, my friend sends me a photo of the tree laying where my car WOULD have been. I'm now terrified of ever parking my Mini where a tree could fall.
Welcome, thanks for joining Motoring Alliance, the FUN and Friendly MINI Community. Karma is with you, go buy a lottery ticket.
Thanks guys, I'm really enjoying it. I only have about 160 miles on it since I bought it, but I'm having a blast. Can't wait for road trips - as long as there's smooth roads.
As I'm looking around the forums, I'm noticing that this JCW looks different than nearly everyone's. Anyone know what the deal is with the body kit that's on this car compared to the stock JCW one? One this one stock? Or was it a mod? Just curious.
I just assumed it was the angle of the photo (or my eyes playing tricks on me) but the front spoiler looks more pronounced than usual to me...
Nice! So my eyes weren't playing tricks on me...good to know. Now you just need the rear spoiler. You know...just to balance it out. I'm bad...
Yes that's the 'Challenge" lip. Looks good. Oh stay away from parking near trees, that should not be hard to do in a desert.
