Well, after a long 10+ years in the Volkswagen community, I felt it was time for a change.. for the better at that. I've always loved mini coopers. Everything from their sleek look, to their sounds. I just bought a 2008 S hatchback and man, it was the best decision I've ever made! Well, I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Amber. I'm a 29 year old female who resides in south jersey near Ocean City. Although, I have met a lot of great people who I can call friends in the Volkswagen community, I look forward to meeting new fellow enthusiasts and learning more about the mini community!

Welcome to the addiction. Made the same transition myself. After many years of driving VW's, I made the switch. Was actually looking for another VW when I found my Coop, but after viewing many cars I found that I saw VW's as boring, cookie-cutter vehicles. Not so with the MINI. After test driving the soon to be mine Justa, my wife looked at me and said "you're drooling". :drool

Traded a MkIV R32 (my 5th VW/Audi) for my MINI. There are days when I do miss the R32, but never the care and feeding that went along with it.

This was Friday night, exactly 1 hour after I picked her up. Not the best way to start off the relationship but I got a flat on the way home and pretty much laughed the whole way to the shop!! lol Woke up bright and early to get her in the shop and replace those tires. And today she got a nice bath inside and out. She can use a good wax but man, she cleans up well
