Took delivery of my 2005 Cooper in September of 2004. Got introduced to autocross a few months later. My only regret is opting for the sunroof. Don't need that 70+ pounds above my head. Just turned 50,000 miles. It has been a great car. Ran in H-stock until last year then decided to go into STF since there was nobody showing up to race against in H-street. Have only added camber plates in addition to yellow Koni's all around, a drop in K&N air filter, a Milltech cat back and a Sprint booster (Christmas present from my son last year). Since I was running stock all those years, I didn't pay any attention to the mod's scene but now am thinking about tweaking a few things. Problem is I need to get educated in what works (within my means). I found Motoring Alliance while doing some research. Looking forward to picking the MA members brains Ben
Thanks for the welcoming posts I hope there are a lot of members with knowledge about mod's for STF. I will probably be replowing a lot of ground with my questions. I run with a small (60 members) independent autocross club ((Martin Sports Car Club Inc.(martinscc.org)) and am the only Cooper driver. There are 2 members driving Cooper S's but they are not into mod's. So please bear with me.
