Hello brothers and sisters of the Mini lovers camp.

I'm expecting to take possession my new Mini in the in the first week of June, and have been surfing web sites regarding upper and lower strut tower braces. I know the F56 is new, but are there any braces currently out there that you recommend. I've looked at the OMP strut brace and really like its design but alas it's not made for my model. I really value this websites members opinions and look forward to meeting all of you down the road!

Oh, and it may be a bit a bit early in the F56 life for the aftermarket companies to get things going. With that in mind I'd check some of the M/A sponsors and ask them what they have or have heard about availability of F56 parts.

Thanks for the info Zapsky. You've helped already, and I purchased an "S" model. I'm curious as to your thoughts on replacing the stock rear sway bar with an after market 22mm sway bar. There's little chance of a track day here in St. Louis but I do like the twisties in the area. If I would get the sway bar I would also get the adjustable link pins. Your thoughts sir! Thanks for your help.

You don't need the adjustable end links. Unless you drop the ride height with an aftermarket suspension... then I'd get them. The rear sway bar is nothing more than a giant torsion spring tying the rear wheels together (and to the body). It will change the handling dynamics of the car. So, if you have already found limits on your favorite roads. Know those limits are likely to have changed once you install a bigger/stiffer RSB... and be sure to relearn the new limits so you don't do something horrific.

Welcome! I might hold off on strut tower braces: on MINIs, they don't make much of a difference because the strut mounts are so close to the front bulkhead, so they're really stiff already. Look around this site to see some of the more popular mods.
