It was time to retire my 2004 Passat so I got a nice Chilli Red / white roof Hardtop.

Where the heck do you all put your cell phone mounts? I like to use Waze for my commutes and not sure where a good spot is on a pretty crowded dash.

    Welcome to M/A!

Being an old fogey I have NO ida where you might put that tech stuff...perhaps some Velcro on the dash to hang it?

Ha - thanks. Waze has saved me many headaches by avoid traffic and speed traps! So I'll have to find a mount that works. I checked shopmini.com and they have one for a mk 3 but not mk 2.

One other newbie question - do they normally only come with just one key fob?

Also there was not an owners manual in the glove box (or the hidden compartment), I downloaded the digital one but I'm going to ask the dealer to provide that too.

Yah. Good luck with that. Mine sits between my leg and the center console of my clubman.

After a little Googling, someone recommended a CD slot mounted one. That seems like it would be perfect. I ordered this one from Mountek just now and will give it a try.

Congratulations. I also have a '13 Justa (just a Mini) and so far it's been bullet proof. Good luck with yours.

    Welcome Aboard!

I made my own mount that works like the Cravinspeed one. One side holds the GPS and the other my phone.

Sig, you might consider a ProClip Mount with suitable device attachment also available from ProClip. I use one in my F-150 truck which likewise is a vehicle-specific fit in combo with RAM ball plate attachment from ProClip for a Garmin Nuvi GPS unit. I'm very satisfied, so nearly ordered the one linked for my MINI. I already had a Garmin beanbag mount which I'll simply place on dash top when travelling outside of my local area.

Thanks, I already ordered the Mountek one that fits in the CD slot (do they even make CD's anymore?) Anyway, I'll let you all know if it fits nicely on Tuesday.
    Happy motoring. Rmmmmmmmmh
