I have a 2015 countryman that has been in the Mini dealer for over a week now $1200 later and they still don't know what's wrong with it! It has a studder when stopped I brought it to Mini they said it was because I had after market plugs so $350 for new spark plugs they said it was fixed drove home and started again it was throwing code p0310 cyclinder 1 misfire so I brought it back then next day they said they found problem after smoke test revealed crack in the throttle body they were sure this was it $800 more drove it off lot and on the corner it did it again...... Now they said they drained the fuel and feel like the studder is much less and it's so minor now they can't diagnosis anything else! Any advice would be great.

I'm a bit confused. Isn't your 2015 MINI under warranty? Why is this costing you money? Then again, why does your 2015 MINI have replacement plugs?

    Has this car been modded?

It has a rebuild title for vandalism so no warranty

    Ugh, best advice sell it!

Or you can dump your 401K into and still not have a fixed MINI.

If'n you are not going to get rid of this potential money pit as Dave.0 suggested then I would recommend that you find a very competent independent mechanic who is well versed in MINI's and/or get a Bentley manual. Also, Welcome to Motoring Alliance the best MINI forum on the interweb !!

Man, I feel bad for you, but down here they call it a salvage title. That means the car was totaled by an insurance company. That makes it a total crap shoot.

You may be 100-bucks away from a decent car, or thousands of dollars away from leaving it abandoned on the side of the road.

I wouldn't have bought that car, but now that you have it, I would sell it for whatever you can get for it.

Welcome to MA! Sorry to hear about your troubles. Some dealers are good some not, I would check with a independent shop.

Dump the car NOW. The thing to keep in mind is the more time that goes by the further back in history will this bad learning experience be and the less it will hurt. Also, take it from an old timer; if this is the worst thing that ever happens to you, you've got it made. Good luck.

Sorry for your terrible experience, thus far. I have to agree with the others, it's time to off this MINI.

Meh... Could be something simple like coils...

Try unplugging the cylinder one coil and see if it makes a difference... Or switch it with another and see if the misfire moves to that cylinder...

Ouch....and with so many $$ recall items that have come up...I'd dump it...
Then again....you have about $5000 or so in your pocket in savings to get it fixed...
Still....I wouldn't consider it to be a good bet....outside of the dealer, not many places are well versed on a 2015...
