Hey all. Bought my wife a low mileage 2006 Cooper S, hatchback, 6spd this past summer. Car is in immaculate condition and even had some mods to boot: Pulley, lowered, strut plates, DBA rotors and a front chin spoiler of some type.
For Christmas I bought her a ICW Forge wheel/Nitto tire pkg and some BAER rotors w/StopTech pads. We are attending the Mini Winterfest in February and I look forward to seeing this little car handle those mountain roads (this car handles as well as my C6Z06).
Anyways, I look forward to learning all I can about these cars. I wouldn't mind buying an R53 myself and mod the hell out of it.
Define 'corner'. Having concurrently owned my MINI and a C6 Z51 that had fairly sticky tires, I have to admit that the Vette was every bit the match of the MINI in some 'corners'.
The Vette loved sweepers while the MINI was much better suited to tight stuff like the Dragon.
Oddly enough, there were approximately nine folks in our local Corvette club who had MINIS as their daily driver or a spousal car.
