    Hello everyone,

In September/October I performed a front end brake job on my MCS replacing the rotor and pads, both were oem parts. I plan on replacing the lines this Summer. To make a long story short I think I may have slightly over tightened the right front (passengers side) bleed screw, I'm looking to find a new bleed screw in the hopes that I can put an end to having air seep into my brake lines. It took maybe 5 months for me to notice that air was in the brake lines.

On a side note I also believe that this air seeping into my brake lines also caused my slave cylinder tip to squeak on top of the clutch fork do to air in the system. Those air bubbles would cause the slave cylinder to bounce up and down causing vibration. Now I notice that the slave cylinder isn't making noise anymore, when realized this was when I started to notice air bubbles in my right front caliper. Two birds with one stone!

I don't won't to pay dealer prices and need to purchase a new bleed screw to eliminate the air from getting into my brake lines, is there anything I could put on the bleed screw to make it seal better if indeed the threads are somewhat messed up?

    Thank for any assistance,
    Systemlord.

Not to be a wise guy, but why would you open the bleeder for a pad & rotor change? I'm sure the good folks at eMINIparts.com can get you a bleed screw.

When bleeding both the clutch and all four calipers which is supposed to be bleed first, clutch first or calipers first?

    In this order...

    Passenger side rear

    Drivers side rear

    Passenger side front

    Drivers side front

    Clutch

Start with the furthest away from the reservoir moving to the closest.

Bleeding your brakes with fresh fluid is a good idea. That being said I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around how you are getting air in the system from a bad bleeder, but no fluid is coming out???

I haven't had a chance to even take a look at it yet, so for all we know there could be fluid leaking. I don't know what I was thinking opening the bleed screw, brain fart, I'm out of town for at least two weeks.
