Just wanted to announce I have pricing and drawings done on R53 caster camber plates, I should have a R56 top mount also soon enough.

I was looking to do a group buy for these parts
Retail pricing will be 425, Group buy price for the first 10 will be 375.

Made in the USA out of CNC cut 6 thousand series aluminum then anodized.
I decided to use a off the shelf bearing to make it easy to source and change should the bearing wear out or become damaged.

If anyone is wondering why would you want to be able to change the caster?
Adding caster will make the steering feel more steady on center, and it also decreases the need for extreme camber angle for front end grip. with additional caster as you turn the wheel off center it adds camber meaning the front end will not need more than two degrees of camber anymore.

Here is some renderings of what we have been working on.
The goal is to collect the money and get cutting within the next month.

Wow nice job!! To be able to take some negative camber out and have the same handling is huge--braking and acceleration are improved, handling remains the same, this is a bigtime upgrade over what we have for stand alone camber plates now.

Please put me on the group list Colin. It's time to take the plunge and these seem more than logical.

Colin, will these work with your coil overs, or are they only for shocks/springs?

Yeah, that's a good question. I know the Vorschlags require different top plate adapters for coils, OE struts and inverted monotubes like Bilstein

The goal is to have them work with stock as well as the coilovers.
I can guarantee they will work with my coilovers/bc shocks though.
if that goes well we will go on to doing monoball rear top mounts to eliminate that source of binding.

Between you, Colin, and the dude on LXM who makes them up as he goes along, I've learned more acronyms in the past month than I care to admit.

Is there any modification needed to the strut tower opening to gain full adjustment like is needed with the Vorschlags?

no unless you are seeking extreme alignment specs.
Remember with adding caster you actually need less camber, so 2.0 degrees up front is very very attainable via the stock openings.
