    This is an engine damper made by Texas Speed Works for the early MINIs with the original passenger side motor mount 02-03 and some 04 before they switched to the hydraulic mount. The purpose of this is to limit front and back engine movement during acceleration and shifting. It does a good job and the only reason it was removed was to clean up the engine bay. Way Motor Works is selling the brackets for $60 so here is the whole thing, damper, brackets, and hardware for the same price. Buyer pays shipping
