They've started extricating the 'Vettes. Victim #1, an '09 ZR1 "otherwise known as the Blue Devil...the prototype version that helped shape the production ZR1", reportedly started right up and was driven away. Victim #2, a "1993 40th Anniversary Edition, affectionately known as Ruby", didn't fare as well...
:cornut: I don't know..............................the way collectors are today................if you have GM documentation of the cause of damage and the GM fix..........................they might be worth more............maybe. Jason
Victim #3, on the way out. From Motor Authority: "This time it's the black 1962 Corvette that has risen from dusty confines below the Skydome. The hood was removed during the rescue in order to gain access to appropriate mounting points. From the photos, it's clear that the car has taken on some serious damage, however, it looks to be in far better shape than the red 1993 Corvette recovered yesterday."

They should leave em "AS IS" and take them to Barrett Jackson and see what people are willing pay....A wrecked 1 of a kind vette that was sucked up into a sink hole..A cool car with a cool story could fetch a pretty penny.....
It would make a really interesting exhibit if they just left the cars down there and built a glass floor over all of it.
They're getting to the buried ones. Check out the latest pics over at Jalopnik. Yikes! Look At These Stunning Photos From The Corvette Museum Sinkhole
Removal of this last and most buried of the 'Vettes is painful to watch. [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWJSDwUUlqk"]2001 Z06 Mallett Hammer Recovery - YouTube[/ame]
