No pictures, but a smile on my face.:D Stuffed cabbage rolls. Not as good as Mom used to make, but as close as I can get.

Take one very small sweet potato, dice it up. Toss with a tiny bit of oil, a few big ass grinds of pepper and a smashed up garlic clove.

Roast at 400 for 20 min. Or there abouts.

In your cast iron skillet brown off 1/4 l b of Rock Your World Autumn Sausage from Bluescreek Farm.

    Toss in roasted taters. Plate.

Top with egg and some cheddar.

Made a pot of Gumbo with lots of endouille sausage while I'm watching the "Tremors" marathon on AMC. Need to add more peppers next time.

    Those jars contain the following:
15 Jalapenlos straight from my garden with seeds
4 Ghost Peppers from my garden, 3 de-seeded
5 Hungarian Wax peppers (friends garden)
    4 Serranos (friends garden)
8 Habaneros (2 different friends gardens)
    4 Super Chilis (friends garden)
    2 Limes
    1/2 red onion
    6 garlic cloves
About 1 inch of fresh ginger
    Salt
    Sugar
    Apple Cider vinegar

This batch was just damned hot and super super tasty. The ginger really made it pop.

Had a cookout at my place today. (25th) Just a get together we have every October. Perfect weather for a cookout.
Menu: Italian sausage steamed in beer and finished on the grill with peppers and onions. Spicy grilled chicken, italian green beans with new potatoes, BBQ beans, Brunswick stew, and an assortment of cupcakes, cakes, and cookies. A fun day, but now I get to look forward to cleaning up tomorrow.

    Recipe?

Don't use them, just toss in this and that to get the flavor I'm looking for.

This has apples, maple sugar, vanilla beans, lemon zest, cider vinegar and almond paste.

Cook on stove for a while till apples are real soft.

    Run through a food mill.

185F oven for 30-36 hours or so stirring every few hours.

Fox in the Snow. It's on the east side of 4th just north of 3rd.

These are real hipsters imported from Brooklyn that own this place.
