And the temperature gauge was in the radiator cap.

 

When your vehicle accelerated your windshield wipers slowed down.

 

When the only color you could buy a car in was Black.

 

When rainbows lit up the skies in the daylight... Just say'n.

High/low beam switch on the floor. Oh, and a separate pedal for reverse.

 

Turn signals hadn't been invented.

When I learned to drive, cars had not been invented... But neither had dirt. So there....

 

When your TV broke and a repair man came to your house and started changing vacuum tubes to fix it. (Of course, he never had the right one in the truck with him.)

You went to the supermarket, with a bag of tubes to use their tube tester, to fix your own TV.

 

... if you can remember cigarette ads airing on the TV. (For those who can't, they used to run about as many ads for cigarettes as they do for ED pills now.)
