It looks great, except for the sperm whale nose that reminds me of the late 90's Lola B2K/10.

They have been teasing the return of the Supra for 10+ years and I and many others do not think they will make it after they lost so much money on the LFA.

Toyota needs to put back the sportyness in their cars. They have had some gems over the years but there is nothing there to get my interest today. The 86 aside.

I think, if done right, they can make it happen. They need to make it a Camaro/Mustang competitor, not a supercar. The LFA failed because it was way overpriced for what you were getting. Plus it was only for the upper echelon anyway. If I'm going to spend half a million its not going to be on the LFA.

Toyota is smart and they will not put a crappy BMW motor in a flagship car like the Supra.

That would be like Ferrari using a KIA motor. The Kia has no power or Tq.

    * I am on vacation this week and have a KIA Optima as a rental. It is a really nice and quite car well equipped and runs great. I just drove it with AC on full blast from Ft. Lauderdale to Key West and back and still have a 1/4 tank left. You can't do that in a MINI. :ihih::

Wait, what? The LFA was in some ways like the first gen MINI. Toyota sold the LFA at a loss, you actually got a car that was worth more than what it cost to produce. It was never intended to make money, but increase profile, and it did. This is the car that Clarkson claimed if he could only have one car, the LFA was it...

I was just looking at some photos of the Lexus LFA, I don't think it is a very pretty car.

Agreed, it's not a great looking car, but it's an absolute beast...

And who might she be? Just asking! It kind of looks like she might need to eat some mashed taters. Just a thought.

The problem with Japanese sports/supercars is that they are technological wonder-cars that have no soul. The GT-R, the new NSX -- more high-tech than an iPhone, but no soul.

With BMW involved, maybe they can at least get some kind of "soul implant."

Nah, BMW isn't soulful enough to put a soul in a Japanese car. They sucked the soul right out of MINI. The Japanese need to partner with a company like Lancia, Renault or Morgan.

I agree... BMW has lost their way... And it's carried over onto the MINI... The same strings are being pulled...

BMW used to make the "Ultimate Driving Machine"....

It's now more "I have arrived"... "Let's do lunch"... "Here's Melinda, my trophy wife and Buffy and Brandon, my two kids".... Kinda car company...

And MINI.... used to make a car with "Bulldog stance and Go kart handling".... It's now more MINI fashion and how do I sync by Apple watch to the infotainment center.... Kinda car company...
