I am putting the 18" wheels on the Mini...2010 Clubman S.
I also have 215/45x18 Toyo's. The tires fit although they are within 1/8" to 1/4" from the rubbing the LCA. The fronts look fine although about a 1/4" from the lip of strut. I will be installing the Retro-Fit steering stop and would feel a little better if I could use 10mm spacers on all four. These wheels are 52mm offset and with the spacers should be even with the body arches.
What spacers would you recommend? I've seen $30 ones which I wouldn't trust as far as could throw them and $200 ones. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
The picture I included shows 205/40x18 run flats...not mine.

If the 2nd gen hubs are the same as the 1st, none. The hub center is 10mm so you will lose the hub centric mounting of your wheels... 8mm might work, but 12 or greater will be better because the spacer should have its own lip to center your wheels on.

H&R TRAK+ Wheel Spacers are a very good brand. OutMotoring carries them.

Agree with Nathan, H&R makes high quality spacers.

Expanding on Red Bull's comments... how tall is the centering ring on your 2010 Clubman hubs? In a 1st gen MINI hub, it is about 10mm, which makes a 10mm spacer a bad choice — it leaves no lip to center the wheel. I suspect it may be the case with your Clubman as well. With H&R, you can go down to a 5mm spacer, or go up to 15mm spacer that has its own centering ring.

I modify my hubs to run 10mm, or I will rub the strut with 8 or rub the fender liner with 12

arent these cars really lug centric? I've ran without hub adapters before with no issues, and some of my hub adapters are plastic, there is no way those things hold any weight they are hollow and weak

They are HUB centric yes. I've gotten aftermarket wheels with the plastic centering rings and had vibration at highway speeds. Ended up going back to stock. If you rub the fender liner with 12 go back to 205's.

Katana is also good. And I highly doubt the center bore is 10mm. That's the diameter of the ring around the axle nut. You want hub centric but any quality manufacturers will be but not all hub centric are quality. Be sure to order longer bolts or studs. If this was for an r53 I have an extra set of 45mm bolts and 10 or 13mm spacers (can't remember) but didn't need them once I got new springs on my front ksports.

By 10mm, we are referring to how much the center bore extends out from hub, not the diameter. MINI center bore diameter is 56.1mm.

Thanks for the offer although mine is an R55. I got 12mm spacers and they fit tight to the wheel...I also got the longer bolts with the spacers and everything is good.

Ah I see. I think any spacers that are hub centric will have a new bore to align the wheel on. That's how my katanas are.
