The Le Mans 24H week (2017) is already here. Qualifying starts tomorrow and the race is this Sat/Sun. Get your spotter guide here: http://www.spotterguides.com/portfolio/17lm/ As usual, there have been some changes to the classes this year. It's hard to catch up quickly but one of these changes is causing a few concerns (and might make things interesting) among the prototype classes. Steve, I'll be there this weekend and confirm the mystique of the beautiful town of Le Mans. And, maybe be able to shed first hand light on the speeds of which you speak!
Yup, I'm jealous. Have a great time and let us know how it goes. This might be helpful. In fact, the other parts (follow link at bottom of article) might also be worth a read. Le Mans: spectating

Of course, the inevitable question, where does one watch it -- with and without cable or satellite? CD
André Lotterer has the pole in a Porsche 919. Can he beat his lap record from 2015 set in an Audi R18? CD
With - Fox Sports 1 and 2. It flips back and forth. Will have commercials. Also will be online at FoxSportsGo which with a cable/sat account can be streamed to a TV via app in Firestick or Chromecast device. Without - https://www.reddit.com/r/motorsportsstreams Audio only - http://www.radiolemans.co/ Ought to be fun with 43 GT cars. Ford is already saying they are slow due to BOP.
All I can find on Fox1 & Fox2 is about 17 hours of coverage. I have the DVR set to record it all. Satellite internet, so that option is out for me.
I read the Larbre art car vette got banged up a bit today and they don't have any replacement "art" panels. Wonder what it looks like now, haven't seen any pics.
The quickest qualifying time was set in 2015, too, in a Porsche 919. I can't find a current qualifying time for this year. The Lotterer time is for an actual race lap. CD
I'll be rooting for the Scuderia Corsa Ferrari guys who took home the prize last year. Hope to get up close and personal via a close connection. Guess I'll have to pick up a Ferrari shirt at the track, as all I have to take depict Cooper and Jaguar Racing... Its ok, I kinda like red.
