Gave the runt a bath, noticed the paint feels a little rough. So I moved DH out of the garage and put the runt in, tomorrow I will clay and wax the runt. Tonight I guess I will take DH for a high speed run to work. Only a few people up at 2 AM.
Clayed and waxed the Runt. Of course it is going to rain for the next two days. Maybe I will let it ride out the rain in the garage and let DH get wet. On a different note.....I was talking to my wife about tracking the Helmet at the next DE. She kept saying I shouldn't because she thinks I will hurt the car. Finally she said if I am going to do track days I should turn the Runt in to a track car..........Um did I hear that right? Did she say Race car?
Finalized the deal for my new interior. It will be the stock color gray and Red inserts...pretty damm close to chili red. The headrests will be red and gray and the rear seat delete will be gray with a red insert. BTW...does anyone have a pattern or measurements for the plywood I am going to need to make the base? The side bolsters will be stiffer and the material is...leather. It will be about 2 weeks in the making.
I did nothing to my car today because I was too busy working. I will be cleaning it up a little for ride on Sunday to C & C up in Bethlehem PA with friends from the Philly crew. Should be a great day. Maybe I will take pictures, but don't count on it.
The rain has passed, so I am going change the oil in the Helmet (5w30), rotate the and wash the tires, then give it a good bath.
I'm just trying 5W40 to see if there in any effect on engine temperature or pressure. Nothing is wrong...just playing.
I took my MINI out for a nice ride today just to run it before tomorrow's C & C which is about an hour and a half away is Bethlehem, Pa. When I got back she got a complete wash which only took 2 hours. :ihih:
My wife and I took the MINI, met up with some friends and had a glorious trip through the countryside driving down to the Ohio river.... Had a fantastic lunch at a winery / restaurant.... chicken livers with bacon and onion over a bed of wild rice.... Washed it down with two glasses of local winery made peach sangria... Oh.... And hit a dead raccoon lying in the middle of the road with my front splitter... Briefly saw part of a leg or tiny hand shoot across my bonnett... Now I need to warsch the MINI and remove the raccoon schmoo off the front bumper.... No MINI parts were damaged... The raccoon felt no pain.... So all is good...
