Clearance between RB's floor and rear tires is so minimal that when the car is jacked up it drops to zero...

No movable aero devices in F1 so yes it is supposed to be rigid. If it is remains to be seen. Drooping front wings & such have shown up before. Not sure this will work if a car hops a curb & the suspension is at full droop. Will it cut its own tires?

Maybe this is to scrape the marbles off the tires.

I saw it from the other perspective. Must make it harder for the drivers collect pick-up on the cool down lap to make sure their cars are heavy enough to pass the post-race weigh in.

SILVERSTONE AND BRITISH RACING DRIVERS’ CLUB (BRDC) TRIGGER BREAK CLAUSE WITH FORMULA 1 OWNERS, LIBERTY MEDIA.

    • BRDC made net loss of £7.6 million over last two years hosting British Grand Prix
    • Unless new contract agreed, 2019 will be last year for British Grand Prix
Today, the British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC), the owners of the Silverstone racing circuit (Northamptonshire, England), has formally triggered the break clause in its contract with Formula 1, now owned and managed by Liberty Media. This means that unless a new contractual arrangement can be reached with Liberty, 2019 will be the last year that the British Grand Prix takes place at Silverstone – the only viable venue for a British GP.

Sure would like to see Brands Hatch get it but they would have to spend a zillion bucks for that to happen.

After a couple of tries I guess I'll be on the back row with Minardi.
