Coconut Cream Cake (there is a great bakery a few doors down from the post office and I had to get the plates from my new project in the mail, back to the original owner)

Couple of Filet Mignon Burgers (Omaha Steaks) with sharp cheddar and grilled slices of purple onion.
Had to use my handy dandy Red Copper stove top grill because it has been raining all day. The thing actually does a nice job.

Mrs Yoder's Kitchen in Millersburg Oh....

We scored their "all you can eat" BBQ buffet for $12.95

The ribs and fried chicken made you want to change religion...

The local farmers were well represented.... There were some mighty big guys there chowing down...

I smoked a rack of SLC spare ribs today. I had that with some cajun spice pasta salad, and some fried fresh asparagus. The fried asparagus was something I discovered by coincidence. I was deep frying some shrimp, and munching on raw asparagus (the skinny ones), and I thought to my self, "I wonder what would happen..." It takes about ten seconds for the asparagus to fry, and it is crisp and tasty.

Went to Farmers Market, asked for utility grade apples. Guy says 12.50 for a mixed box. Sends me home with almost 50lbs worth.

    Made some Strudel to start.

What's keeping those strudels from falling out of the pan?

    Bet the kitchen smells good...

utility grade apples? Is that apples that you use in a bio-fuel reactor to generate power?

I grilled some pork tenderloin that was marinading in Stubb's Pork Marinade overnight. I have some good homemade marinades, but I really like the Stubb's -- and I can just pour it out of a bottle. I ate it my favorite way -- just some slices of pork tenderloin on crackers.

Chicken wings seasoned with salt, black pepper, granulated garlic and cayenne pepper. Grilled on the Weber. They were good. The cayenne added some nice punch -- I got a little neck sweat going.

Made some quick and dirty chili fries. Omaha Steaks steak fries, Wolf Brand chili, diced jalapeños, a handful of shredded colby/jack, and a little shot of Dave's Insanity Sauce. I can't believe I ate the whole thing! :p

I had a different version of vetsvette's potato and chili last night. Baked potato, Wolf Brand chili, cheese and spices. Quite the hot mess.

That Wolf Brand is the best chili I have found that comes out of a can. I just ordered several cans of their Hot Chili without beans from Wallyworld since the only kind available locally is the low octane version.

This was lunch today. Mega cheese and bacon omelette with hash browns and biscuit w/sausage gravy on the side. All cutesy of Huddle House and my server Beverly. :D
