According to the stewards of the meet there was equal blame. Pretty bizzaro stuff. Wonder how much they'll fine Vettel for his ride along & taking his wheel with him?

Seb drove a great race, maybe one of his best. I really feel bad for Kimi & his DNS. Lewis played it smart & just let Max go. Next stop Japan.

There's a part of that bill no one could pay...maybe. Vettel was running a new transmission and if it has to be written off he'll face a grid penalty at the next race.

And that is something he sure doesn't need.

Something Vettel & Ferrari sure don't need is a grid penalty, but if they do get one watching Vettel carve his way through the field sure will be enjoyable to watch.

I read an article today saying that if Red Bull's improvements are real then they might be just what Hamilton needs to hold on to the title advantage despite Ferrari's pace. Red Bull drivers playing spoiler, sort of, and having a huge impact on the title race neither of them has a chance of winning. Makes sense that if Vettel has not only Hamilton to worry about but also both of the Red Bulls vying for the big points from podium finishes then Hamilton's 34 point advantage might be completely insurmountable.

Of course, Red Bull have nothing to do with Ferrari self-destructing on their own. Though Horner disagrees, I wouldn't have been surprised to see two sets of red pajamas on the podium in Malaysia if Vettel and Raikkonen hadn't both had power unit problems.

If young Maxie could keep on winning I might have to get an orange t-shirt.

Vettle's transmission from the wrecked car was sent to the base in Maranello. According to Sky Italia, examining its condition, engineers concluded that the replacement is not required.

Hope that it can go a race distance. I want to see a close championship & not one determined by DNF's or grid penalties.

Here in the US, F1 is moving to ESPN next year.

I hope the move to ESPN means I get to see all the races next year. Here in Canada, this year, I already have 2 sports packages and I only get about half the races. I am not going to spend anymore money to get another package to get the rest of the races. Still thinking of cancelling cable altogether. But they've bundled it with unlimited 100mb internet access. But that rant is for another forum.

They say ESPN but ESPN is part of ABC and there's no way to be certain they'll broadcast via only ESPN. Need to wait for them to work out their broadcast schedule.

Pirelli say that because of new rubber, etc, G forces and cornering speeds at Suzuka will surprise many, including some of the drivers. Here's a reminder from last year.

I wonder whether the announcer lineup will change with the move to ABC...
