Today was kind of nasty up here in Dallas. Forties and rainy. I went to lunch and did some shopping, but I went with my neighbor in his F150 FX4 Crew Cab (Texas economy car), so my MINI stayed warm and dry in my garage.

My neighbor listens to country music, but like I said, my car stayed warm and dry (clean). A reasonable trade-off, IMO. :biggrin5:

Seems like you chose to live in a terrible place...

Drove my MINI to work. Hard not to enjoy the sound of downshifting and passing someone on the freeway. :D

Not much today, but tomorrow my MINI goes back to airport parking -- covered, of course. I've got some cool cars to photograph this weekend, including a Saleen S7 Twin Turbo. I hope I get to drive it.

I dusted off my car in the garage today because on Saturday she will sleep outside while I am detailing and coating a brand new Red 2017 Honda Civic Type R.

Had to use the horn on my wife's MCSa yesterday and it emits a real low, muted honk [sounds like a ruptured duck]. I guess it's time for a new horn. Are they 2-tone or what? What can I expect to pay for one? Are they hard to install? Questions abound....:confused5:

When I worked for a car magazine, this manufacturer sent me a demo kit to test out...

Our F150 SuperCrew gets 25+ on the highway! It's a pretty decent Georgia economy car too :cornut: Also, love me some ecoboost with the locking rear diff! :beer I don't believe country music has ever been played in this one.... Nothing new with the MINI. She continues to shred traffic with the best of em' :D

Hope you don't get sick looking at that thing. It's a real dogs breakfast. Great performance:arf:, but looks not so much. :eek6:

Like I said, Texas "economy" car. Any self-respecting man with a big... carbon footprint, drives at least an F250 Super Duty. :biggrin5:

I've gotten so used to my MINI that, when I do drive a full-sized truck or SUV around, I feel like I am maneuvering a houseboat through a crowded marina. I don't know how you go back and forth.

Hey it’s not my car but I don’t think it looks that bad for a 4 door.

We do all like different things, but Dave it may be time to head to the optometrist. If I was behind the wheel on OH SR 536 doing a circuit of the salamander I'd be liking it too as long as I didn't have to see the outside.

Spot on! Going from the MINI to that is exactly like you say. I feel like it's too big for a lane on the highway, driving in the city and parking in the city is a nightmare with that thing. No way could I daily drive it.

I know what you mean. I go back and forth between my Mini and my Suburban 2500HD Galactic Cruiser. 12mpg in that sucker.

Oh yeah, almost forgot. The mail lady brought two of these today. I'll get them installed after I get all the road crud cleaned off from two 150 mile trips in the rain this week. Normally I would have driven the Suburban, but it seems all the parking slots at the VA hospital are the size of a Smart Car. :mad5:

Sure we can. I can also say that it's too big to be a "hot hatch". It's a "hot sedan" now.
