Thanks, way to much fun to drive to let rot in a garage. Should hit 100k by the end of summer 2018!

I drove my MINI 350 miles from Port Arthur to Dallas through the piney woods of East Texas. The weather was great, the traffic was light, and it was a pleasant drive. Tomorrow, I clean a couple million bugs off the MINI.

Took in the 16 Countryman for an out of cycle oil change, since I like to keep it fresh for winter. Dealership is new with a new car wash, today I forgot to tell them no wash, the free wash put a layer of scum on my paint, I had to use a detailer spray to clear it off. Must be bad soap, not to say what the those damn brushes did to my finish.

Time to detail once again.... :(

Drove 120 miles back and forth for 1.5 hours work. Something makes me think I need to do this only 1 time per year.

I took GIR to the shop and had an alignment done. WOW, what a difference the coilovers make. IMO a smoother ride than the JCW struts, although I do have them set pretty soft, nice none the less. I get a little noise when backing up into a turn, something new to figure out I guess.

Today, I gave up on trying to adjust my headlights on my 2005 R52. Going to an independent garage. What a ***** !!!!!! It's no wonder that MINI invented a special tool to do the with. GRRRR...

    Lighting adjustments...

    WHITE LED position lamps.

    YELLOW fog light bulbs.

JCW LED puddle lamps... replacing the BMW ones that originally were sent to me from China.

I'm thinking about taking the BMW film out of the first set I tried and just having very bright downward firing spot lights (Amazon returns to sellers in China usually results in a "Here's your money, Yankee Dog. Keep 'em!" message back).

Took my car out of the garage today for a nice little run to the Train station.
I met up with a buddy from work and we took the train to Suburban Station in Filth-a-delphia for a Holiday get together with other co workers a nice pub. I nice warm bacon cheeseburger with a few pints of Irish water (Guinness) made for a good afternoon / early evening. We walking down to city hall and saw the ice rink has a “beer garden†so we stopped for a few more and headed back home.

Put all cars on trickle chargers in the garage and then sat in the blue one to see how that new 64GB USB stick filled with about 30GB or music would load in the Kenwood stereo. Soon it was obvious that the stick was too large for it to begin playback right away. After about an hour of the display blinking the word "Reading" I turned off the ignition. Not happening today.
