    Looking good, Caseydog!

With the first snow of the season, I think I'm gonna do a chicken potpie.

Never got in to Jersey Mike's subs. I'll take a Jimmy John's Vito, no tomato, with hot peppers, please!

In the process of making another batch of chili/cheese tater tots. Little shot of Dave's Insanity Sauce and some Jalapeños in the chili for some added kick. Pictures to follow..... probably.

Like most of my food, it ain't pretty, but it tasted pretty darn good, especially on a cold night. Needed a little more heat so I added a good splash of La Victoria Salsa Ranchera.

Jersey Mike's has the closest thing to a South Jersey Hoagie that I can find in Dallas. It isn't a perfect copy, but it it is a really good sammich.

I haven't heard of Jersey Mike's, I checked them out online and there is one ten miles from my house!

I live out in the boondocks, everything seems to be ten miles from my house.

A #13 sub eh, I'll have to try one!

I don't know the subs by number. I Like the "Italian" sub with the "Mike's Way" toppings.

That's the one. #13 (Italian sub) Mikes Way with a good smear of the red pepper relish. Closest one to me is about 50 miles, but I drive right by it whenever I go to the VA. The giant will feed you for two days. :D

Wow this looks good to an old guy.

It is odd, I love tater tots and I do love some hot chili but I have not every tried to make or eat this combination. I appear to not be living right!

Guess it is time to stoke up on tots and chili since it is going to be snowy finally on Wednesday night. :)

I will let you know if I like it, sure like how it looks.

    :)

I'm fixing Country Fried Steak again with the mandatory pepper gravy and mashed taters. Not gonna bother with a picture since it'll look just like the last one I posted.

Edit: What the heck. Took a picture anyway. Looked too good not to. Tasted even better.

Sounds good, even though you call it the wrong thing. We call it Chicken Fried Steak down here. Add some fried okra to that plate, and you have one of my favorite meals.

I had chili over cornbread for the first time about five years ago. It is a great combination.

The names are interchangeable around here.
Got two major food groups covered. Brown and white. Coulda/shoulda fixed something from the green group, but too lazy.

All I can say is that looks really really good and all the alternatives suggested do too. Although, the heart attack after eating the Chicken Fried Steak would be hard to explain to my Doc. :) :)

Enjoy the week before Christmas and have a great one too.

I was out running an errand at lunch and needed a quick lunch before heading back to my desk. I saw. Jersey Mike's Subs and thought 'Heh... th guys at MA like it... it should give it another try." I couldn't remember the #, so I went on instinct and got the Big Kahuna... A freshly grilled cheesesteak with peppers, onions and mushrooms. That was a spectacular sandwich!

Those are pretty good too. Next time try #13 Mike's Way. Now I want a sub for breakfast! I'm taking my Grandson to his semi-annual dental checkup today and as luck would have it, the dentist is next door to a Japanese Restaurant, so it's Tempura shrimp, calamari, and a couple rolls for lunch. His Mom thinks I'm doing her a favor, but a 70 mile trip in the Mini, good food, and getting to hang out with my Grandson? In my book that's a pretty good day! Relying on the Keurig for sustenance until then.

There is no chicken in "Chicken Fried Steak".... Unless you substitute chicken for a beef cutlet..... Then it would be called Chicken Chicken Fried Steak....

Just like there is no Ham in Hamburger....

I wonder how all the burger joints get away with their truth in advertisement....

You would think the FDA would be all over them for that....

How about a real cat fish sandwich....
