Also posted on the other forum, but thought I might have a different audience here. My pre-owned roadster currently has these wheels. (Not my taste.) R111 Black Star Bullet Wheel 17" (4x100) Black Turned - 17 x 7J ET:48 I am considering these: 17" x7.5 Ruff Racing R364 - R364C Chrome 4x100/4x4.5 38 ET - 73.1 hub bore While I am sure the finish choice will not be popular, my questions are: Any experiece with these? Fitment issues? Quality? Recommended tire sizes? Hub ring requirements?
They look ok to me but I don't know anything about the quality of the brand. What color is your Mini? Maybe post a picture of it so we can visualize what it will look like.
It is chili red with black stripes and the chromeline exterior package. I am pretty sure that chrome won't be the popular choice.
Chrome is a personal choice go for it if you like, not my cup o tea. I would guess the quality of the chrome on that wheel isn't very good. You may regret that choice a few years down the road when they start pitting. Also depending on what tire size you choose there may be problems with that offset. Especially if you lower your roadster. You will need hub-centric rings with these. Your MINI's hub is 56.1.
Exactly my question. PVD finishes are now commonly referred to as chrome, and quality of either can vary widely. Not sure what this wheel really is? Suspension will remain stock, and no plans to ever lower the car. No autocross or track days either. I have no need or desire for another project car. Strictly a cosmetic choice. I prefer chrome in some cases, and think it would suit this car. (Felt the same about my 2010 Z06 in Jetstream blue - It needed factory chrome wheels.) That being said with the additional 1/2" of wheel width, and 10mm less offset makes me wonder if it will protrude too far? Not looking for the "Ricer" stance by any means.
