Right now we have: MiniDave Don Ipock Styers McKenzie WillieB from Atlanta Dan from Tulsa is a maybe depending on his schedule Dooder (Dean from OKC) is planning to come Of course our tour director Don Ruder And maybe a few others, should be a hoot and a half! Accommodations either at the Cuba Super 8 or the Wagon Wheel, I'll leave it up to the group to decide which but we should book as early as possible. Be there or be square, dudes and dudettes!
Wish i could make it. New classic owner here in Springfield, Mo. Car Savvy, but this is my first British car. Still not exactly sure this car is reliable enough for a run that far. -Rick
That far? We're right in your 'hood! I encourage you to come join us, we all have plenty of skills, parts and knowledge between us to get just about anything that can park a Mini fixed and back on the road! It would be a great first outing for you and your classic! Please understand this is not a heavily organized or scheduled event, just a bunch of guys who meet up and go cruise the backroads.....our goal is maximum fun and run time. Post up some pics and the story of how you got your car. Also, come join Restoration Mini, a site dedicated to the classic Mini and a bunch of very smart and friendly Mini guys. http://www.restorationmini.com/forum/ Here are a couple of threads on some of our other runs....including previous runs to Missouri and Arkansas..... https://www.motoringalliance.com/forums/classic-mini/28561-texas-hill-country-run-classic-minis.html https://www.motoringalliance.com/forums/classic-mini/25848-classic-mini-fun-run-5-a.html https://www.motoringalliance.com/forums/classic-mini/23602-classic-mini-fun-run-4-redux.html https://www.motoringalliance.com/forums/classic-mini/20518-classic-mini-fun-run-part-33-1-3-a.html
Car is a true blue sportpack Mpi car. Already fixed: Injector connector Coolant sensor Thermostat Tune up Grounding points for better charging To be fixed: LF cone is collapsed Excess valvetrain noise (i think) Bought it in Dallas a couple months ago. We also own an 09 Cooper S.
Cool, I have an 09 Clubman S, I used it to tow my classic to Texas this past March for another classic Mini event. It towed very easily too..... Sounds like you have it on the mend......bring it to Cuba, Mo and run with us!
Dave, great to meet you at the show last weekend and thanks much for tipping me off to this Fall Run event. It's too late for me to accommodate it this year, but hopefully there will be another opportunity in '18 or beyond. Sounds like some superb motoring and fellowship.
UPDATE! Event cancelled due to schedule conflicts....sorry! Gil - I'm glad we got to hang out Sunday, hope to se you and your classic on the next fun run....I'm thinking that will be the CMU event in Tenn. in April.
