I have a set of 4 web spokes (2 piece BBS wheels) that I'd like to get rid off. They show the 56K miles that I've put on them. Clear coat is coming off, minor scratches, caked on brake dust. They are perfectly straight without curb rash. They do have tires mounted, but they are shot (down to wear bars). Come with center caps with JCW stickers on them. Would make an excellent project for someone looking to paint them. I'm asking $200/OBO. Local pick up preferred. I really don't want to deal with shipping them. Did I say OBO? Send me a PM if interested.
They are 17x7. Won't fit R56 without conversion studs. These are for the M12 bolts. R56 are M14 (slightly bigger).
I thought they were stamped BBS somewhere. Still, good strong wheel. Held up really well structurally on our crappy Los Angeles roads. Nope, not without M14 to M12 conversion studs.
Offset should be the same, or close enough. No idea on drilling the holes out. I'd assume the stud conversion would cost about the same and make for an easier wheel/tire rotation. I know this is an opportunity for some one to get a nice set of rims. I want them out of my garage and I did say OBO.
Still available. Take advantage of me. I need garage space more than I need $$. Within reason, of course.
So is that road rash, or just the clear coat coming off in the pics you posted? And, what part of So Cal do you live, north or south? I may want these. I would just powder coat them. But would hate have to drive thru LA to pick them up :cryin:
Jim, Second pic in the second post with pictures shows the clear coat coming off. All wheels have road rash to some degree (surface scratches), but I can honestly say all of it is minor and would disappear and be taken care of in process of refinishing / powder coating. They have never been so much as curbed. All the wear and tear is just regular use, 56,000 miles worth. I'm in North Los Angeles area. I'm willing to meet half way (Santa Barbara, Saint Louis Abispo, Carmel). If you're interested, we can do the deal and do lunch. Give us a chance to meet face to face.
Ill make some calls to see what this all will cost me, powdercoat, conversion...ect. So they are the R98 webspokes correct? Wonder if the TPMS is compatiable from the R53 to the R56? I need to make some calls.
