    Hi,

I have a 2008 R55 Clubman S with the Nav package. I'd love to add satellite radio but I'm not sure how involved and expensive this would be.

I assume I have the antenna hookup under the passenger seat; not sure of the rest.

    Anyone with experience, advice, or?

    Thanks!!!

I would not assume you have the satellite antenna installed. It was not in mine.

    Hmmm.... Good to know....

Think I'm going to replace my entire setup with a Pioneer AVIC8100NEX and be done with it....

I have the same clubman as you. Mine has factory XM/Sirius, unfortunately it does not work. I thought Sirius came with NAV.

The spec sheet on my 2007 says that it is "satellite ready," or something like that. I asked my MINI service advisor what it would cost to add MINI's satellite radio, and he looked it up. We both got a good laugh -- it was over a thousand bucks.

    Yeah, LOL.

One dealer never replied. The other said $2000. Wow.

Regrets for not doing this in 2008 when I placed my order...

I have a great service adviser at Sewell MINI. I don't remember the exact price, but he seriously was laughing when he told me. He knew it was a stupid price, and didn't even try to present it as anything else.

My MINI is my daily driver, and I don't drive it anywhere I need a NAV. Honestly, I don't really "need" satellite radio in it. I rarely drive it beyond the reach of my local NPR station. The only time I wish I had Sat radio is when my NPR station has a f-ing pledge drive. :incazzato:
