I had to remove/disconnect the coolant expansion tank, set it aside, in order to make room for replacing the stock bov. A lot of coolant fluid was lost as it dripped from the tank. Now that i have replaced the stock dv and installed the expansion tank, i want to know what would the procedure be in order to remove all the remaining coolant fluid and then fill the expansion tank with new!
Use a fluid transfer pump, turkey baster, or large syringe with hose, to suck the fluid out of the reservoir before disconnecting it. Will reduce spillage to a few drips, vs. a torrent. Or did you mean how do you remove all the remaining coolant in the CAR? If that's the question, there's a how-to somewhere for draining the coolant.
Just use a straw and suck it out. It's good for you and will keep your body warm in the cold Winter months.
