    Hello everyone.
Just bought my self a stock MCS 163hp. It has rolled 96000km. First thing I did was to change oil w/filter, air filter(stock panel filter), cabin filter, fuel filter and spark plugs, checked the connections between coil and spark plug wires.
Then I did the One-ball exhaust mod. Then changed the SC pulley to Alta 17% reduction with smaller belt. What do you guys recommend as the next upgrade for my MCS? Seeking 200whp.
Was thinking about injectors and an exhaust manifold followed by a remap?
Its my daily driver, and I want it to be reliable.

I also need to change the BPV, zip tied it yesterday and it was no doubt it was faulty!! Just go OEM BPV or DT-BPV ?

    Regards Haakonnor

Sorry for my bad English, Im norwegian.

A nice exhaust would be next. I will not do the one ball to my mini! You should be ashamed.:D

    Welcome to M\A.

    What year is your MCS?

You may want to remove the 17% pulley for 15% because with an original Eaton Supercharge with 96k on the clock you may cook it buy spinning it that fast.

I would also recommed a leak down and pressure test on you "new to you" motor so you can be sure you don't have any hidden problems in the motor.

I would also recommend a idle pulley, new belt tensioner and OEM sized ATI crank damper.

All of their should be done before you get a custom tune on a DYNO and not a flash tune.

Also check your motor mounts and lower control arm bushings. A header won't hurt but buy a quality one.

Thank you very much for answering:D
It has 60000miles on it, 96000kilometres. Is that alot for the supercharger and belt tensioner? Dont think the BPV has been working the last years.
Motor mounts and lower control arm bushings is in good condition.
I will do a leak test and compression test.
When I've done this, wich mods will most common give about 195-200whp?

Every thing Dave said. I have a 17% pulley and 130,000 on the clock with no problems yet. As long as your car does not live at the red line you should be ok. But with the 17 pulley you are pushing higher temps. I have also heard that it also leans out at red line with the stock injectors if you have a 17% pulley. I don't know if that is correct.

Engine wise I have a CAI, headers, exhaust, 17% pulley and an ATI crank pully. If you get the ATI pulley stay with the stock size. My next engine mods will be Injectors and eather a GP Intercooler or Meth injection. After this is don I will get a tune.

You may want to do some suspensions mod first.

Oh also check the SC for oil leaking out. It only holds a few ounces in the front and back. If it runs dry it's time for a new SC.

If your interested in meth injection Dave is our local meth head.

Get some JCW injectors along with what Dave mentioned and you will be very close to 195-200. I was with the stock tune and a 15% pulley and a CAI and one-ball.

Ok 60k is not that bad but I still would replace the tensioner. I will post up a link for one that is over $100.00 less then the Dealerahip price and is the same unit.

Tensioner for $85.00 I replace mine about once a year at that price because a slipping belt equals power loss and I am OCD about my cars maintenance.

You can get 200 WHP EASY with what you have now by just adding 440 cc injectors and a custom DYNO tune from Jan at RMW.

Link for Jan and his contact info. http://www.revolutionmotorworks.com/?page_id=40

Thank you everyone! Love that someone bothers to answer and give me good advises.:D
I live in Norway so a custom tune on dyno at RMW isn't possible Im afraid.
But there is a local guy here that can make me a remap wich should add up to the injectors and mods, he says.

Do the 440cc fit the OEM manifold and fuelrail?
Are they redrilled or OEM 440cc injectors?

JCW 380 injectors are good to over 200hp. And you can get the 440's as brand new injectors from several vendors.

Yes 440's 550's and 1000's will fit the stock fuel rail but the need to be scaled correctly with a custom tune.

Oh if you have access to a Dyno Jan can do a remote tune via the internet and a Flash tool so you can upload the tune and keep your stock and custom tune.

All you would need to do is buy a flash tool, do a base line pull on your car and send him the file. Jan adjusts your tune and sends you back a file for you to upload / flash to your car.
Then you do another pull on the Dyno and send the results back to him. After a few times your cars ECU and larger injectors will all be optimized and you can have a copy of your tune incase you ever need to flash it back to OEM for service or your dealer flashes over it.

If you send Jan an e-mail he can provide you with all the information and prices.

I will definetly change the belt tensioner as Dave recommends.

Could you send me a link for the 440cc injectors? :D
I looked at the Bytetronik full access self tuning kit. Could get 550cc bosh injectors with it for only 275dollars.
There is a good tuner 2hours away from me, but he did not have the tools to access the MCS ECU, I don´t know about any MINI tuners in all Norway. But with the Bytetronk, he can tune it on a dyno?

    Opinions?

Just sent Jan an email. Looking forward to hear from him.
What is your opinion about CAI? Is it necessary for performance? or is it just the sound? :)

I am going to say this just once.

DO NOT BUY Bytetronik full access self tuning or you will F up or blow up your motor.
Just ask a guy named Rick on here who's user id is the ModFather.

Jan sells brand new (not redrilled) 440, 550 injectors. Note * Some of those Mynes / Bytronic 550's are redrills.

A good CAI will help your motor because in the end a motor is just a big air pump. More air in with more fuel and a less restrictive exhaust equals more power.

I have a DDM intake that pulls fresh air from below the drivers wiper vent cowl.
