Does a header like RMW, Supersprint, etc. fit on an auto R53, or are there clearance issues because the motor is shifted to the passenger side?

I thought BlimeyCabrio (pre Phoenix) and a few others had highly modded automatic MINI's which included a header. Were they modified before install?

RMW street header will fit no problem.

RMW shorty header will work... but it DOES put more stress on the flex joint, and it's a bit more of a pain to put the header on, to get it lined up with the head.
MIGHT lead to premature flex joint failure... I had mine replaced three or four times, over 5-6 years....

Thanks for the info. I'll have to figure out if I want to deal with the the flex joint issues, or just stay stock.
