In theory, heat application on hi-grade plastics like ABS that have surface scratches will make those microscopic abrasions shrink & restore back close to initial form. For as long as the said surface is homogeneous & wasn't painted. You'll gradually see results. Color or shade doesn't seem to be affected if not overdone, but sheen might increase a bit. Just don't overcook, deform nor burn the surface.
DA MASTAH put theory to test w/ awesome results. Hope he chimes in.

In terms of mods? Probably none. I'm not a racer, so I won't modify the engine to make it Formula 1 ready. Nor am I likely to add badges, stripes, or other external trim. I ordered the car as I want it. I'm a 57 year-old fairly conservative lawyer who thoroughly enjoyed three different MGs during the 1970's. The '14 Roadster S is a modern day substitute for my old British Leyland sidekicks. I simply look forward to driving a two seat ragtop with a 6 speed manual, top down whenever possible. The JCW exterior trim package and the chrome driving lamps are the height of my extravagance. :smile5:

Wow, history w/ Brit roadsters! Surprised you didn't go for the bulletproof Miata. Then again, it's not Brit-bred, just inspired.
    Enjoy the Bull!

I would not buy the Miata. Doesn't come close to the MINI Roadster S in my opinion.
