    Hi all,

I got my 2010 MCS last weekend, and the window sticker listed an iPod/iPhone cable, but it apparently wasn't sold to the dealer with the car.

The dealership paired my iPhone via BT and that works great, however I can't seem to figure out how to listen to my iPhone's music through the car's H/K stereo ...

I tried the white Apple cord, to no avail. Am I doing something wrong, or do I really need MINI's aux/USB cord for my iPhone to work with the car?

    Thanks,

    -John

Welcome, thanks for joining Motoring Alliance, the FUN and Friendly MINI Community.

Not sure as I have an older MINI. Someone will know though.

I have a 4S, and would love to just be able to play music through the stock stereo.

I see the aux/USB cable on eBay for $9.98 ... looks to be a genuine BMW part?

Yeah, I actually got one of the cables when I bought my 2010 MCS Camden in June, but I havent been able to get it to work with my old ipod, which died after I bought the car, a nano I have laying around and my fiancees 4S. Maybe a bum cable, but I am looking forward to the cable for the 5.

After speaking to the dealer I bought the car from, my salesman offered to give me the cable when I go to pick up the new license plates!!!

Can we like offer to "field test" a couple of the cables? I'm more than happy to be a Guinea pig.... for a free cable anyway! :D
