I've had my Mini for about 9 years now, driven her 55,000 miles, and invested thousands in mods to make her more fun to drive. My Mini has been a great car, and has always turned heads.

Recently, I felt I needed something different to drive, and was not inspired by the new 2016 models as I hoped I would be. Even the new JCW. I wanted more horse power.

so later tonight, I turn the keys over, and say goodbye to MotoringAlliance as I move on to my next ride. I remember when this forum started, and the excitement that was in the founder and community. Its been a great resource for me, and I hope it continues to live on.

    All my best...

What is the new ride? Just because you buy something else doesn't mean you have to go away. I sold my MINI bought a different brand, but stay here because I have friends here & this is a great place to be. Enjoy the new ride.

    Thanks everyone.

The new ride is a 2016 Dodge Challenger Scat pack. 485 HP of Hemi noise.
Ever since I saw the movie Vanishing point as a kid, I have wanted a challenger. I owned a number of Dodges in the 80's and 90's before moving to British and German engineering. The Mini has been fantastic, and its the car that I have owned the second longest (9 year). I have a 1979 Triumph spitfire for my summer fun that I have owned for 31 year.

Thanks again, and I probably will visit to see what's going on once in a while.

I learned the track in my '63 Spitfire. Hope you've got a good heavy spring in the back to keep it's little butt on the ground. My favorite adventures were dealing with the Prince of Darkness.

I'm sorry to hear you are leaving M/A because you are buying a nother brand.:frown5:

But, as been said before, we do not necessarily demand that members own MINIs, especially since a lot of guys here have other cars that are not MINI. So, I hope you will stay around.:fingerscrossed:

That is the same car my father in-law bought a few months ago. The first 2 weeks were nothing but smoke shows and donuts, he kept saying the first set of tires are free lol.
