I forgot to pickup more antifreeze from the dealer and won't have time to drive over and get the Mini branded antifreeze. Has anyone used a different brand for a few years with good results? I suspect they are all the same.

Make that +3 on the Pentosin. Look for PentosinNF -- correct for all years of MINI.

That's the stuff- Pentosin NF. Surprised that my O'Reillys had it.

I get mine at O'Reillys. The guy behind the counter told me what to get. The store near me is a good one.

I'll bet you a dollar it's Pentosin NF in a MINI branded bottle.

All you guys down South really don't need antifreeze since you are crying when it only drops down to 40 degrees.

It is also a coolant. Antifreeze/Coolant prevents freezing, and also raises the boiling point. If I ran with water alone, I'd boil over in the summer. And, don't forget the anti-corrosion aspects of a good antifreeze and coolant.

BTW, having an intercooled turbo engine, I love a good 25-degree day when driving my MINI.

And, we don't cry, we put a bunch of wood in a pit, set it on fire, and cook meat over it.

Pentosin NF is blue. It is a concentrate. You mix it 50/50 with water.

It's just like MINI oil used to be Catrol and now they have switched to Shell oil still in MINI bottles.
