Hey everyone just wanted to know if this would be the idler pulley, tensioner or belt but at idle it doesn't make noise but giving it gas it starts...I have a video of this but for some reason I can't upload it. I just want to make sure it is this and not the bearings in the supercharger or something before I order a new idle pulley and tensioner with new belt.

Hard to tell without hearing it, but I'd suspect the belt, tensioner & idler pulley in that order. How many miles on your MINI? Have you ever replaced those components?

Welcome to MA! The SC makes more of a rattle or grinding noise. I agree with Crashton. If its been a while sense you changed the belt it needs to be done anyway. Do you have a stock SC pulley? If not make sure and get the proper belt for you SC pulley size. Also it could be bad alternator bearings.

Pop the hood and make sure you don't have a little piggy under your hood.

Old belt, idler pulley and new tensioner should fix the problem. Amazon is your friend for a new tensioner over the $225.00 dealership one. They are the same part.

    Tensioner : https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-38404-Professional-Automatic-Tensioner/dp/B001KSDZOY/ref=pd_bxgy_263_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B001KSDZOY&pd_rd_r=H6RJAVT4YZ94W3P30QKF&pd_rd_w=MfI8U&pd_rd_wg=Lj0nA&psc=1&refRID=H6RJAVT4YZ94W3P30QKF

If you have high mileage 80K plus your OEM crank damper may be starting to fail which happens to everybody.

Buy the ATI damper and never have to worry about it again. Buy the right one from the guys at Detroit Tuned.

Awesome thank you guys, I haven't changed it since owning my car but I already ordered the new tensioner and idler pulley and stock belt since my car is all stock minus the cold air intake and my cat back exhaust

Ha ha yea I've thought about it but I'm just keeping my car as stock as possible and just fixing everything first I've already went way overboard on my mustang and Audi
