2nd Gen R56 Cooper S CA smog test

    Will I pass the CA smog test with a cat back exhaust? 2009 R56S. Dont feel like crawling under the car to r/r exhaust in this heat. I figure that all they do is plug into the OBDII port.

    Catback exhaust doesn't matter for smog test.

    Nope. They use the automotive equivalent of an anal probe. :eek6:

    In addition to the probe, they do plug into the OBD, but I don't know what readings they pull from it.

    No probe in newer cars I thought

    OBDII and a look under the bonnet. I had mine done 2 weeks ago.
