Gen 1 cylinder head tolerances?

I have a warped cylinder head and have not been able to find the tolerances allowed for machining. My Gen 1, R53 warped head is .008 out. What is the maximum cut allowance with an oversized gasket? I've done goggle searches and this and other forums and haven't been able to find the info, maybe I'm just not using the correct search words thus the post. All advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Gen 1 cylinder head tolerances?
I am on the road or I would see if it is in the Bentley manual, maybe someone els here will be able to check. If not I will look Saturday when I get home. If you do a lot of your own work you should pick one up.

Yes I do all of my own work and I should pick up a Bentley Manual.........it's rare that I can't find exactly what I'm looking for in a Google search, an existing forum discussion or in a youtube DIY. Thanks for your reply!!!

Gen 1 cylinder head tolerances?
I just checked my Bentley: "Maximum warpage allowed = 0.1 mm (0.004 in)". However, this appears to be the spec for max warpage on a usable head. There's nothing that I can find in there about a max cut allowance...you'll need a different source.

FWIW, the thicker gasket avail from MINI is 0.037" while their standard gasket is 0.026".

Gen 1 cylinder head tolerances?
I've heard sometimes they can straighten them too, I'm from the old school where taking10 thou off to level a cylinder head is nothing....and the thicker gasket should bring it back to stock.

There is a shop here that can straighten them. So, I guess you can have it done.
