How do I unplug the electrical connector for the pre cat O2 sensor? Black plug on the drivers side.

Pull back the black clip on the connector and side it apart. It's a male /female style plug with a little clip lock on one side.

Pull on the piece that the screwdriver is pointing at?

Yes, it looks like yours is still stuck with the push in connector holder. Just pull it loose from the holder and you will see exactly how it unclips. You can tug on the wires and free up some space to work.

Is there a plan B? This thing is not moving. I've used fine needle nosed pliers, and cannot move it. Even tried pushing from the back with a screwdriver.

Unclip the connector holder that attached to that hose on the right I your picture.

Once you have it loose you can pull the clip and undo the connector.

Left it alone for now. Would not move, and I heard a sound like plastic breaking, probably that small tab.

Okay. I have revisited this issue, and the end result is that the small plastic tab is not now attached to the connector. Still the plugs are firmly connected. It almost seems as though they are glued together. Any ideas? Can they be unattached from the small metal bracket, to give better access?

I had the same issue with the post cat plug. I used a flat blade screw driver and worked around the plug using the blade to slowly push out the plug while I poured some hot water on the plug (battery not connected) to soften the plug, then the plug came out. I believe the rubber water seal was suck to the outer edges of the plug.
