Posted in my local mini forum but thought I would also try here.

Does anyone in DFW area have a working version of NCS Expert? I have INPA installed and working (used in the past for BMW's) but I've never worked with NCS Expert.

Goal is to turn off cold bulb checks so my aftermarket HID bulbs don't strobe on start up.

I think I can get this figured out but I only have access to a Win 10 machine which I read makes things more difficult. Would feel more comfortable with some guidance.

As much as I hate to say it you'll have better luck with NCS Expert questions over on NAM. It's not a product that seems to well embraced by the M/A crowd.

I've been trying to get some answers on NCS Expert for a couple of weeks, I'm getting little t no response from anywhere so far.....

I may wind up joining a German MINI forum as they all claim you need to be able to understand German to work the program correctly.

I'm not sure if it works with the 1st Gen MINI's but I have the iCarly App on my phone for my R56. With this program I can easily turn off bulb checks. Very useful app. They have a lite version so that you can see if its compatible with your car. I'd try that first since its priced ok and very easy to use.

Which app? Search for Icarly gives me a bunch of Nickelodeon apps.

Lol, they keep changing the name. Its now Carly for BMW. They were probably told to change the name.

Looks interesting. Website says only model year 2007 forward. I'll try the free version this afternoon and report back.

Google search seems to indicate it won't connect to R50 / R53. I'll verify later today. May be back to the torturous install of NCS Expert.
